The exhibition "The Canaries: islands of scientific explorations" will be opened from October 4th to 31st 2006 at the Liceo Taoro in La Orotava, from Monday to Friday between 10:00-13:00 and 16:00-20:00. The exhibition is only in Spanish.
Two conferences regarding the exhibition and in Spanish will be held at the Liceo Taoro in La Orotava as well. The conferences will be held at 20:00 on the hereafter mentioned days:
- Thursday 5th: "Scientific travellers in the Canaries". By Alberto Relancio Menéndez
- Thursday 19th: "The French expeditions. From the 18th to the 20th century". By José Oliver Frade
The exhibition "The Canaries: islands of scientific explorations" will be inaugurated on January 10th 2007 at the Biblioteca General y de Humanidades of La Laguna University, in Guajara. It will be opened from January 10th to 31st and from Monday to Friday between 8:30 to 20:30. The exhibition is only in Spanish.
Two conferences regarding the exhibition and in Spanish will be held at the Conference Room of this library. The conferences will be held at 19:30 on the hereafter mentioned days:
- Wednesday 10th: "Canarias y las expediciones científicas francesas (1724-1911)". By José Oliver Frade
